This Privacy Policy describes how Thornevick Inc. handles information in connection with the Ratewick website. Ratewick is built for heavy civil, sitework and utility contractors in North America.
This notice covers the current website, audit requests submitted through its form and related direct business enquiries. The product preview illustrates the rental invoice review workflow; it does not process your rental documents.
1. Who we are
Ratewick is a product of Thornevick Inc., based in Calgary, Alberta. References to “Ratewick”, “we”, “us” and “our” in this policy refer to Thornevick Inc. in connection with the Ratewick website.
This policy explains the website’s current information practices, including audit requests submitted through the website form and related direct business conversations. It also explains the limits of this policy where a hosting platform or another organisation handles information independently.
Our Terms of Use explain the conditions for using this website. A separately agreed service may have additional terms and privacy information that apply to the work covered by that agreement.
2. Information you provide
Direct business enquiries
If you communicate directly with our team, the information you choose to share may include your name, business contact details, company, role, the subject of your enquiry and the contents of your correspondence. Please limit an initial enquiry to information relevant to the conversation.
Do not include personal banking details, government identification, passwords or unrelated information about employees, customers or other individuals. If documents are needed for an agreed engagement, the scope and method for sharing them should be established separately.
The audit request form
When you submit the audit request form, we collect your work email and company name, together with your name, phone number and rental invoice details if you choose to provide them. The website sends this information to our team by email so we can respond to your request. Typing into the form without submitting it does not send those details to us.
The form does not upload invoices or automatically book a meeting. It does not save your field values to a website database or to its own browser storage. Submitted details are included in the email delivered to our team.
Your browser may offer to remember or restore information through its own autofill or session features. Those features are controlled by your browser settings, independently of Ratewick.
3. Website and technical information
Opening a website requires your browser to request its pages and assets from a hosting service. In delivering and protecting the site, the hosting infrastructure may process technical information such as an IP address, browser information, the requested resource, request time and security or error information.
Our website is hosted by Vercel. When you submit the form, its server processes the submitted details and passes them to Resend for email delivery. Short-lived, obscured network identifiers are also used to limit repeated submission attempts. This policy does not represent that visiting the website produces no network records, or that the hosting platform’s own access and security features are disabled.
The Ratewick website itself does not include visitor analytics, advertising pixels, session recording or a system for profiling visitors. The product tables, rental timelines and document panels are sample content; they do not retrieve a visitor’s rental records.
4. Cookies and browser storage
The website’s application code does not set analytics or advertising cookies. It does not use local storage to retain the details entered into the audit request form, and it does not track visitors across other websites.
Fonts and photographs are served with the website. Viewing them does not require the page to load a third-party font service or an embedded advertising service.
Your browser may cache images, fonts and other page resources to make repeat visits faster. The hosting platform may also use essential access or security mechanisms outside the Ratewick page code. Those functions should not be confused with marketing tracking added by Ratewick.
You can manage cookies, cached files and saved form information through your browser. Restricting essential hosting functions may affect whether a hosted page can be accessed.
5. How information is used
Where you provide information directly to us in a business enquiry, its purpose is to support that enquiry and the related business relationship. Depending on the conversation, that may include:
- Responding to a question about Ratewick or explaining the rental invoice review process.
- Discussing whether a demonstration or an invoice review is relevant to your business.
- Keeping an appropriate record of the correspondence and any agreed next steps.
- Addressing a technical issue, privacy request or concern you raise.
- Meeting a legal obligation or establishing, exercising or defending a legal right.
Providing details for one enquiry is not a general permission to use them for unrelated purposes. Where a new purpose requires notice or consent under applicable law, that must be addressed before the information is used for that purpose.
6. Consent and your choices
You can browse the information on this website without completing the audit request form. Submitting the form asks us to use the details you provide to respond to that request. It does not subscribe you to a newsletter or provide general consent to receive unrelated marketing messages.
When you voluntarily provide information in a direct conversation, the context of that conversation matters. Information should be used only for the reasonable purposes communicated to you, subject to applicable law. A privacy notice does not create unlimited consent.
Where processing relies on consent, you may ask to withdraw or change that consent, subject to legal limitations. If doing so affects our ability to respond to an enquiry or continue an agreed activity, the consequence should be explained to you.
7. Sharing information
Submitted form details are processed by Vercel, Resend and our email provider to deliver your enquiry to our team. We do not publish those details or send them to rental vendors or advertising networks. Submitting the form does not make your information visible to other visitors.
A direct business conversation may involve service providers used to deliver communications, professional advisers where their assistance is needed, or a disclosure required or permitted by law. This policy does not imply that every category applies to every enquiry.
Any disclosure should be limited to the relevant purpose and the information reasonably needed for it. A request for a product demonstration is not permission to contact your rental vendors, share your rental documents with them or make a credit claim on your behalf.
8. Rental documents and customer data
The website illustrates checks against rental invoices, agreements, negotiated rates, off-rent confirmations and pickup tickets. It does not provide an upload facility or connect to a rental vendor account.
If an invoice review or other service is agreed separately, the parties should establish the authorised documents, the purpose of the review, who may access the material, and the arrangements for retention and deletion before documents are provided. That engagement is outside the processing described for the website demonstration.
Do not send documents simply because a sample interface shows a document name. You remain responsible for ensuring that you are authorised to share material relating to your company, employees, customers and vendors. Information unrelated to the agreed review should be removed where practical.
9. How long information is kept
Submitted audit requests are retained in our email correspondence. Delivery records may also be held by our hosting and email providers under their service settings and retention practices. The website does not create a separate customer database from the form.
For submitted requests and related business conversations, the appropriate retention period depends on why the information was provided, whether the conversation remains active, any agreement that applies, and legal or recordkeeping requirements. Short-lived submission counters in the website server expire after ten minutes.
No fixed retention period for hosting logs or separately provided documents is promised by this website notice. A request about a particular record should identify the relevant conversation or engagement so the applicable retention requirements can be considered.
10. Protecting information
The website validates form submissions on the server, limits field and request sizes, and includes measures to reduce automated and repeated submissions. It does not provide document uploads, payment processing or an application account system.
No website or method of electronic communication can be guaranteed to be free of risk. Limit the form to your contact details and a general description of your rental invoices. Avoid entering confidential documents or unrelated sensitive information before a suitable delivery method has been agreed.
This policy does not claim a security certification, audit result or particular security architecture for a future Ratewick service. Safeguards for an agreed service should be assessed in the context of that service and the information involved.
11. Processing locations
Thornevick Inc. is based in Calgary, Alberta. That location does not mean that every network request, hosting record or communication is processed exclusively in Alberta or Canada.
Internet infrastructure and service providers may operate in other jurisdictions. Applicable access, disclosure and privacy laws may differ by location. This website does not make a Canadian-only data residency commitment.
Where the location of processing is material to an engagement, raise that requirement before sharing rental documents or other confidential information. Any service-specific commitments must be established separately.
12. Access, correction and privacy requests
Depending on the law that applies, you may be able to request access to personal information held about you, ask for a correction, or raise a concern about how information has been collected, used or disclosed. Some records may be subject to legal exceptions.
A request should describe the information or interaction concerned and provide enough detail to locate the relevant record. Identity or authority may need to be verified before information can be disclosed. Do not include identification documents in an initial request unless an appropriate method has been agreed.
The Government of Alberta provides guidance on personal information protection and access. You may also seek guidance from the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta about a privacy or correction complaint. Its process generally starts with raising the concern directly with the organisation.
13. Other websites and services
Links to another website take you to a service operated under its own terms and privacy practices. This policy applies to Ratewick’s website practices; it does not replace a third party’s privacy notice.
References to rental vendors identify the types of invoices discussed by Ratewick. They do not mean that the website is connected to those vendors, that a vendor receives your information when you visit, or that a vendor endorses Ratewick.
Review the relevant provider’s privacy information before giving information directly to that provider.
14. Children’s information
Ratewick is intended for business use by contractors and their authorised representatives. The website is not directed at children and does not offer a children’s account, community or submission service.
If you believe information about a child has been sent to our team in a direct communication, raise the concern through that communication channel and describe the circumstances without resending unnecessary personal information.
15. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the website, the way information is handled or applicable requirements change. The date at the top of the page identifies the latest revision.
Adding analytics, document uploads or other new processing would require the relevant privacy information to be reviewed. The existence of this policy does not mean those functions are currently available.
A revised notice does not, by itself, supply consent for a materially different use of information where consent is required.
16. Privacy enquiries
Privacy enquiries concerning Ratewick should be directed to:
Thornevick Inc.Ratewick — Privacy enquiries

If you are already in direct correspondence with our team, reply through that channel and identify your message as a privacy request. Briefly describe the information concerned and the outcome you are requesting.
You may also use the website form to send an enquiry to our team. Identify it as a privacy enquiry in the message field, and do not include sensitive documents. The form does not guarantee immediate receipt of a time-sensitive notice.
